Welcome to Flying Goose Studios (FGS). FGS Student Hub is a moderated student community platform designed for collaboration, communication, school friendly events, discussions, polls, and sharing content in a safer online environment.
By accessing or using FGS Student Hub, you agree to follow these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and our community rules. If you do not agree, you may not use the website.
1. Eligibility and Accounts
- Age Requirements: Users under the age of 13 must have verified parent or guardian consent before an account is created or activated.
- Accurate Information: You agree to provide accurate and truthful information when signing up, including your age, school, and grade when requested.
- Account Security: You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and for all activity that happens under your account.
- No Impersonation: You may not pretend to be another student, staff member, school employee, parent, guardian, or FGS team member.
- Account Review: FGS may review, restrict, suspend, or disable accounts that violate these Terms, create safety concerns, or provide false information.
2. Parental and Guardian Accounts
- Guardian Role: Parent or guardian accounts are designated as guardian accounts and are not publicly visible on the platform.
- Child Management: Guardians may manage one or more child accounts, including reviewing activity, revoking consent, and requesting data deletion.
- Consent Requirement: No account for users under 13 will be activated without verified parent or guardian consent.
- Consent Changes: If a parent or guardian revokes consent, FGS may restrict, deactivate, or delete the related child account as needed.
- Guardian Accuracy: Parents and guardians must provide accurate information when completing consent or account management forms.
3. Platform Purpose and School Use
FGS Student Hub is intended to support positive student communication, collaboration, school friendly activities, and community involvement.
- Chat lobbies are intended for collaboration, peer help, project work, school friendly discussion, and organized community communication.
- Events help users stay informed about school related activities, challenges, updates, and community opportunities.
- Some features may be useful in classroom settings, including discussions, polls, events, collaboration spaces, and project planning tools.
- If FGS Student Hub is used for a class, school activity, or teacher directed project, users must also follow their teacher's instructions and their school or district technology rules.
- FGS Student Hub is not an official school district website unless specifically stated in writing by the school or district.
4. Acceptable Use and Community Guidelines
You agree to follow all community rules, including the FGS Student Community Agreement. Users are expected to act in a respectful, safe, and school appropriate way.
You may not:
- Harass, bully, threaten, target, or intimidate other users
- Share private personal information, including addresses, phone numbers, passwords, personal schedules, or private contact details
- Post harmful, inappropriate, violent, hateful, sexually explicit, illegal, or unsafe content
- Use slurs, blocked words, coded language, or unsafe phrases to attack or harass others
- Attempt to bypass moderation, filters, safety systems, rate limits, account restrictions, or bans
- Spam, scam, phish, advertise without permission, or post misleading information
- Upload malware, harmful files, scripts, or content intended to damage the website or another user's device
- Use FGS Student Hub to disrupt classes, school activities, or other users
- Use another person's account or allow someone else to use your account
5. Chat Lobbies and Communication Features
Chat lobbies, group discussions, comments, posts, polls, and other communication features are provided for school friendly collaboration and community interaction.
- Chat lobbies are heavily moderated and may be monitored by automated safety systems.
- If a blocked word, unsafe phrase, or flagged message is detected, the message may be sent to FGS site management for manual review.
- Messages, reports, posts, comments, polls, and other user content may be reviewed when reported, flagged, or connected to a safety concern.
- Users should not treat chats or posts as private spaces for sharing sensitive personal information.
- FGS may remove messages, restrict chat access, or take account action when needed to protect users or enforce these Terms.
6. User Generated Content
You retain ownership of the content you create and post on FGS Student Hub. By posting content, you give Flying Goose Studios a limited permission to host, display, store, moderate, and operate that content within the platform.
This permission is only for operating, protecting, improving, and moderating FGS Student Hub. It does not mean FGS owns your original content.
FGS may remove, hide, restrict, or review user content if it violates these Terms, creates a safety concern, receives reports, or conflicts with our community standards.
7. Moderation and Enforcement
Flying Goose Studios uses automated and manual moderation to help maintain a safer environment for students and community members.
- FGS may review reports, flagged content, blocked word detections, safety alerts, and enforcement history.
- Accounts may receive warnings, feature restrictions, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans for violations.
- Severe violations may result in immediate action without warning.
- Users attempting to bypass restrictions, filters, or bans may be permanently removed.
- Content may be removed if it violates these Terms or creates a safety, privacy, or security concern.
- When appropriate, FGS may contact a parent or guardian about safety concerns involving a child account.
- FGS may preserve moderation records when needed for safety, security, support, or compliance purposes.
8. Under 13 Account Restrictions
Accounts belonging to users under 13 may have additional safety restrictions. These restrictions may include:
- Limited or moderated communication features
- Restricted profile visibility
- Additional review of reported or flagged content
- Parent or guardian account oversight
- Limits on certain features until consent is verified
- Additional safety and monitoring measures
FGS may change under 13 account restrictions as needed to protect users and support privacy requirements.
9. Data and Account Control
FGS collects and uses information as described in our Privacy Policy. This may include account information, user content, school or grade information when provided, moderation records, reports, newsletter preferences, parent or guardian consent information, and technical or security information.
- Users may request account support or account deletion.
- Parents or guardians may request to review, update, revoke consent for, or delete their child's account information.
- FGS may remove accounts or data when needed for safety, security, legal, operational, or compliance reasons.
- FGS does not sell student data.
- FGS does not use student information for third party advertising.
- FGS does not collect official school records such as grades, attendance records, transcripts, or disciplinary records.

10. Newsletter and Site Communications
FGS may send site updates, announcements, safety notices, event information, or newsletters when allowed by user settings and applicable rules.
- Users can manage newsletter preferences in their user settings.
- Users may subscribe or unsubscribe from newsletters through their account settings.
- FGS may still send important account, safety, consent, or security related messages when needed.
11. Intellectual Property
All platform features, design, branding, logos, code, layout, and non user content are the property of Flying Goose Studios or its authorized creators, unless otherwise stated.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or reuse site content, branding, or platform features without permission.
12. Third Party Links and Services
FGS may include links to external websites or use third party services to help operate the platform. These services may have their own terms and privacy practices.
FGS is not responsible for the content, security, or practices of external websites that are not controlled by Flying Goose Studios.
13. Disclaimers
FGS Student Hub is provided as is and as available. While we work to maintain a safe, reliable, and moderated environment, we cannot guarantee that the platform will always be uninterrupted, error free, completely secure, or free of all harmful user behavior.
FGS does not guarantee that all user content is accurate, appropriate, or endorsed by Flying Goose Studios.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Flying Goose Studios is not liable for damages resulting from use of the platform, inability to access the platform, user interactions, user generated content, account restrictions, moderation decisions, or third party links.
15. Changes to These Terms
FGS may update these Terms from time to time. When changes are made, we may update the Last Updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
If changes affect parent or guardian consent, child account data, or important safety practices, FGS may provide additional notice when appropriate.
